Wilderness Therapy Program
Hello! I am so excited to start this new blog about our Mount Carmel Youth Ranch
and its Wildernes Therapy Program for troubled teens. Truly, what a privilege it is to be involved in this work of helping youth turn their troubled lives around. So many boys have come here and found new hope or their future. You can see the work of God right before your very eyes.
We are in the beautiful Wyoming Beartooth Mountain Range and the atmosphere is so good for the boys. An encounter with God in His nature reaches deep into the souls of these boys and draws out what is good in them. We of course have to discipline what is not good in them, but primarily we show mercy, which is what they need most of all.
We also have a Catholic Program for troubled teens that can be found at that link also. The boys help grow Sain Foin and the ranch sells it to keep itself helping teens. Sain Foin is a type of grass that does not bloat cattle and comes from the Holy Land. We sell the San Foin at sainfoinseed.com
It is a cold and crisp evening tonight and the youth at Mount Carmel Ranch are bundling up now because of the frozen weather. No trouble for these teens. At Mt. Carmel, the program is so balanced and successful that the ranch hands marvel at the youth and their progress in over coming negative based thinking.
I love it here at Mt. Carmel Youth Ranch and I am not leaving any time soon. More tomorrow.
